"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." -Matthew 5:16
One of the biggest things wrong with this world is the lack of kindness. There is a startlingly small amount of empathy and consideration for others. The youth of Alamo Community Congregational Church strive to be examples of Christ in their community, just as 1 Timothy 4:12 encourages them to be: "Do not let anyone look down upon you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity." They know that they can have a big impact on the world. The students of Amplify are learning how to have that impact ("Living Louder, Stronger, and Deeper.") and this year will put it into practice.
Each month (with the exception of July and August), the Amplify youth will focus on a different service project. Some projects will extend throughout the year, others will be completed within 1-2 weeks. They also range in complexity. This will be a fun year of practicing being Jesus' hands and feet.
